Pega Engineer

Contract: Full-time

Location: United States

Hybrid (3 days/week) – Sunrise, FL (within 50-mile radius)

Salary Range: $85,000–$150,000 annually

Relocation: Not offered

We’re looking for a skilled and experienced Pega Engineer to develop and maintain complex enterprise applications. In this role, you’ll work hands-on within an agile team to deliver quality software, collaborating with cross-functional partners and contributing to continuous improvements across platform releases.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain large-scale enterprise applications using the Pega platform
• Write, test, and debug code as part of a consistent and scalable development process
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, developers, and scrum teams
• Participate in code reviews and automated testing practices
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and support of applications across test and production environments
• Implement and maintain system integrations, including APIs, file transfers, services, and SQL queries
• Apply agile methodologies and tools to ensure high-quality and timely delivery
• Provide input on creative technical solutions and challenge the status quo when needed
• Demonstrate autonomy and initiative in achieving team goals

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• 4+ years of experience in software development using the Pega platform
• Strong expertise in Pega 8 and Pega CSSA (Certified Senior System Architect)
• Deep knowledge of Pega Case Management, security, integration rules, and layering concepts for reusability
• Familiar with Agile or other rapid application development methods
• Experience in dispute, fraud, or case management domains is a plus
• Strong understanding of application integration (internal/external APIs, services, SQL)
