POSITION SUMMARY Responsible for setting-up and operating Manual Welder to tungsten inert gas (TIG) weld components according to specifications.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES \n - Operate Manual Welder to TIG weld components safely according to specifications (aluminum, stainless steel, cast, and cupronickel).
\n - Follow weld instructions and complete projects based on blueprints
\n - Understand and execute verbal instructions from Manufacturing leadership regarding job orders to determine product specifications.
\n - Perform tack-weld functions to join metal work pieces at specified distances.
\n - Inspect and record quality requirements of finished work pieces.
\n - Use all safety devices/tools to ensure safe operation of welding processes.
\n - Ensure work area is kept clean and organized at all times.
\n - Knowledge, understanding, and compliance with Company policies and procedures.
\n - Participate in cross-training throughout manufacturing facility. Dependent upon company need, may be posted in alternate work assignment.
\n - All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS: \n - High school or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or technical school diploma or equivalent in relevant work experience preferred
\n - 5+ years related experience and/or training preferred
\n - Ability to successfully pass weld test
\n - Proficient in accurate use of micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools
\n - Ability to read and work to set tolerances and work from blueprints
\n - Ability to set-up and operate Welding machine
\n - Mechanically inclined and possess strong degree of attention to detail
\n - Basic mathematical skills required to set-up and operate welding process
\n - Ability to be cross-trained throughout manufacturing facility
\n - Ability to work in a team fostered environment
\n - Ability to work overtime and weekends when needed
