Job Title: Psychologist

Reporting to: Behavioral Health Department
Employment Type: Part-Time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our Behavioral Health Department. The role involves providing direct patient care in outpatient settings and nursing home facilities. The psychologist will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team and contribute to innovative pilot projects focused on integrated care. This position emphasizes patient-centered, evidence-based psychiatric care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments of patients referred by Primary Care Providers using evidence-based tools.
• Provide treatment for behavioral health conditions using approaches such as:
  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Motivational Interviewing
  • Crisis Intervention
  • Interpersonal Psychotherapy
  • Behavioral Activation
• Make appropriate treatment recommendations.
• Refer patients to psychiatrists when necessary.
• Monitor client progress through clinical documentation and coordination with other healthcare providers.
• Deliver crisis intervention services and perform risk assessments as needed.
• Engage patients with limited behavioral health service utilization through outreach.
• Ensure timely documentation of all services provided.

Qualifications:

• Doctoral Degree in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (Ph.D. or PsyD).
• Current registration as a Psychologist in New York State.
• Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is a plus but not required.
