Job Description

A Commercial Painter prepares and applies protective and decorative coatings to various industrial structures and equipment, ensuring longevity and functionality through meticulous surface preparation and precise application techniques. Their work often involves using specialized tools and equipment, working at heights or in confined spaces, and adhering to strict safety protocols

Responsibilities:

• Surface Preparation: Cleaning, sanding, scraping, and priming surfaces to ensure proper paint adhesion
• Paint Application: Applying various coatings using spray guns, brushes, or rollers, including specialized coatings like fire-retardant or anti-corrosive paints
• Quality Control: Inspecting finished surfaces for imperfections and performing touch-ups as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Following strict safety procedures and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning, maintaining, and calibrating painting equipment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Industrial painting experience required
• Understanding of color theory and construction estimating
• Read blueprints and collaborate with construction teams to meet project specifications
• High school diploma or Ged required
• Must be able to work 40-50 hours per week
• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen & background check

The base pay range for this position is $20-30 an hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation. Your final compensation will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future growth.
