Description

The HVAC & BAS Manager is responsible for leading a team to provide operations and maintenance for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration systems, and BAS across a large urban campus setting.

Job Responsibilities

• Proficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and building management systems (BMS).
• Install, inspect, test, operate, and repair all refrigeration and related equipment for preserving food, making ice, cooling water, air conditioning, heating, and ventilation.
• Calibrate, repair, and maintain all pneumatic control systems and related equipment.
• Check, service, clean, and replace filters in all A/C air handling and heating units, documenting the work.
• Clean and maintain grills, ducts, and shaftways in A/C, ventilating, and exhaust systems.
• Understand and demonstrate knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and refrigeration codes and practices, coordinating work between/with other trades.
• Complete preventative maintenance as scheduled and keep records.
• Respond to emergency repair/maintenance situations as required.
• Maintain critical inventory needed for operations and keep track of tools used.
• Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive attitude toward customers, clients, and co-workers.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing a team of HVAC Technicians.
• HVAC Certification preferred.
• Previous HVAC experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and precautions due to physical risks.

This role may involve physical demands including lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and extended walking and standing. Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
