SALARY: $100,000 - $118,750, bonus eligible

 
SHIFT: Monday - Friday during daytime hours, must be flexible on daytime hours

ROLE SUMMARY:   

If you are interested in a hands-on, continuous improvement-oriented, fast-paced role in a world-class engineering/manufacturing environment then our Electrical Plant Supervisor role is for you. This is a chance to be problem solving on the fly to ensure we meet our production goals.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  

• Provide electrical technical leadership to solve medium to long range process-based problems in a specific area of operations 

• Manage around 20 hourly union electricians including scheduling, supervising, development, etc.

• Track and report on equipment uptime, maintenance specific metrics, and cost performance and initiate processes to control costs 

• Utilize standard management tools (VPO) to achieve critical metric targets close gaps in performance (root cause analysis, SIC, MCRS, 5 Why’s, PDCA and SCDA cycles, etc.) 

• Analyze raw material usage data and coordinate with line owners to identify usage trends and to develop performance improvement initiatives 

• Champion Equipment Good Operating Practices (GOPs) 

• Lead learning and development initiatives to improve the technical knowledge and skill set of operators and technicians within area of expertise. 

• Develop and maintain operating standards for area of expertise. 

• Promote and enforce effective change management for new materials or equipment used/installed in area of expertise. 

• Develop, Document, & Implement process improvements to make the teams more effective and efficient. 

• Execute capital plan for area including equipment overhauls and upgrades. 

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:  

• BS degree in Engineering preferred, technical degree required. 

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Engineering environment. 

• Well-developed cross-functional problem solving & multi-tasking abilities, leads by example, acts as an owner, results oriented & strong customer focus skills; ability to lead change. 

• Highly focused on results and providing a structured, systematic approach to delivering solutions

• Detail oriented, schedule driven and strong planning skills needed for handling multiple projects, experience in sustainable project execution. 

• Ability to extract, evaluate and utilize data for process improvement from applicable systems 

• Belt methodology and/or lean methods experience a plus 

• Knowledge of the OSHA Safety and Health regulations a plus
